Is your skin burning or is it itchy or oozing? This might be an indication that you have a skin problem.

Skin disorders shared a wide range of conditions which vary from each other by their symptoms. These symptoms can be temporary or permanent and may be painless or painful. Some skin conditions can be minor, and others can be life-threatening and dangerous.

These variations in symptoms actually let the doctor know about a particular disease the patient is suffering from. Moles, psoriasis, hives, and eczema are among the 3,000 skin disorders known to dermatology. Best skin treatment in India is offered in almost all the top-notch hospitals which provide a specialised centre for treatment for various skin disorders or diseases which is managed by the team of expert doctors.

Cosmetic and Plastic surgery is not usually recommended in such cases as these can be simply treated by the use of medication (oral and topical) and healthy lifestyle management.

Know about the 7 most common types of skin disorders:

Acne: a stubborn problem

Usually, girls often suffer from this skin disorder at the arrival of their periods. These have different forms:

1. Papules are the raised red bumps caused by infected hair follicles.

2. Pustules are common red pimples that have pus at their tips.

3. Cysts are the typically larger painful, pus-filled infections that lie beneath the skin.

4. Nodules are painful lumps that lie underneath the surface of the skin.

All types of acne are commonly treated with creams or skin gels and if more serious then medication is necessary.

Warts

A contagious disorder that can occur on any part of the body. The common raised bumps on the skin known as warts are actually caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). They are typically found on the hands, feet, and joints, but can appear anywhere. They disappear on their own without any medication, though unsightly warts can be treated with liquid nitrogen or medicated creams.

Hives

This is basically the result of an allergy due to various factors like stress, illnesses, or even tight clothes. Hives can be defined as an itchy welt that are raised up from the normal layer of the skin. They often get neutralized by antihistamines and preventive practices.

Fungal nail infection

Fungal infections are often risky as can be spread very rapidly. In this condition, fungus lives near, under, and around the nails, usually in the feet. The fungal build up causes the nail's edges to crumble away, producing white-yellowish scaling and flaking on the surface of the nails. The infection gets neutralised with the application of anti-fungal cream or other fungal treatment.

Cold sore

These cold sores are usually found near the mouth. This is often identified as a red, fluid-filled blister which is painful or delicate. Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus, and there is no known cure for the virus. The sores may have the chance to return in 2 weeks. Medical treatment includes creams and medications.

Candidiasis

The condition can be defined as the overgrowth of the Candida albicans fungus on the body is called Candidiasis. The best thing about Candidiasis is that it can be treated with home remedies and self- management like keeping proper hygiene and avoiding the overuse of antibiotics.

Athlete's foot

As the name suggests, it is a condition which causes rash by a fungus that rapidly multiplies in warm, damp conditions, such as athletic shoes. When you have a dry, itchy, red skin this might be an indication of Athlete’s foot disorder. However, the condition gets neutralised with medicated ointments and good foot hygiene.
