1. Skin Grafting
   It is a type of surgery that involves the transfer of skin from one part of the patient’s body to the other. The skin is removed from one area of the body and moved or transplanted to a different area to cover large wounds or skin damage due to burns, injury, or illness. Skin grafts are performed under the effect of anaesthesia.The place from where the skin is taken is allowed to heal on its own.

2. Flap Reconstruction Surgery
   It is one of the advanced surgical processes in which the skin and underlying tissues are transferred along with its blood vessels to the deformed area. 4. Free Flap Surgery
   Free flap surgery involves transplantation of tissues from one site of the body to another to treat the existing defect. The skin along with the underlying fat, muscle and/or bone is transferred along with its blood vessels to a new area. The blood vessels are reattached under magnification of a microscope to restore blood flow. This surgery is done when the defect is large and complicated.

5. Replantation Surgery
   It involves surgical reattachment of parts like fingers, hand, arm, foot, leg, ears, scalp, and penis that have been completely severed (cut down) from a patient’s body due to injury. The goal of the surgery is to reposition the detached portion of the patient’s body to its normal location and function.

6. Tissue Expansion
   Tissue expansion follows the principle of replacing “like with like”. This technique is used when hair-bearing skin or facial skin needs to be replaced thus maintaining colour match and aesthetic appearance of the deformed part. A tissue expander (expansion like a balloon) is a foreign body which is placed under the skin and inflated gradually over a few weeks. The overlying skin stretches and can be used to cover the defect after removing the expander.
