The Interventional Pulmonology Unit at the Centre of Chest & Respiratory diseases is an advanced unit that diagnoses and treats complicated pulmonary diseases using state-of-the-art, minimally invasive techniques. These techniques often reduce the complication rate, recovery time, and discomfort associated with more invasive procedures. We at the unit treat and manage a wide range of problems related to many types of complex airway disease, lung cancer, and pleural effusions, and advanced treatment options for lung diseases like emphysema.

Our interventional pulmonology unit is equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques such as flexible bronchoscopic tools, pleural aspiration, pleurodesis, etc. We have a multidisciplinary team of interventional pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, otolaryngologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, thoracic radiologists, anaesthesiologists and other supporting staff to offer comprehensive care and develop a patient-centric treatment plan by evaluating their current medical conditions.
